I am deeply honoured to announce that the globe Legacy, commissioned by The World Reimagined for last year's Bristol trail and Trafalgar Square exhibition, has found a permanent home at Great Western Railway Parkway Station.  My deepest gratitude to everyone at The World Reimagined and GWR who have supported this significant project, these artistic endeavours, and all the artists involved.

 

  This installation is a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of preserving our history.  Legacy, as its name suggests, serves as a remembrance to the Echoes in the Present.  It carries the weight of the past, acknowledging those from history and maintaining their presence in our collective memory.  By giving Legacy a permanent home at Parkway Station, countless individuals will have the opportunity to witness its significance, contemplate its meaning, and share their reflections on what this globe represents.  Legacy was conceived with Bristol in mind, a city that has always fascinated and inspired me for decades.

 

  Its rich history and vibrant arts community continue to fuel my passion and creative work.  It was within the streets of this extraordinary creative city, Legacy was born.  This globe not only pays tribute to those who came before us but also celebrates the enduring legacy of Bristol, both past and present.  Legacy serves as a visual representation of the connections between the past, present, and future.  It reminds us that we are part of a larger narrative, and our actions today will shape what future generations inherit.  It encourages us to reflect on the lessons and wisdom of the past whilst also prompting us to consider how we can contribute to a more meaningful and impactful future.

 

  The installation of Legacy at Parkway Station is a testament to the power of art and its ability to facilitate important conversations.  It provides a space for individuals to engage with history, to question and reflect upon their place in the world.  Through this artwork, we are reminded how our experiences, struggles, and triumphs are interconnected, creating an intricate tapestry of stories that shape our shared human experience.
